A Fashion Statement for the KINGDOM

A couple of weeks ago I had the opportunity to not only attend but help direct a fashion show! Let me tell you...the runway was on fire, fun and unity was in every step, and confidence was worn by all!

The theme for the event was "I am Kingdom"!  When asked to help I was excited as  I desperately wanted to make sure the essence of KINGDOM was fully represented within every model, every walk, and each outfit! this wasn't  your ordinary, typical  "church" fashion show, this was KINGDOM business! Being kingdom minded is more than just  talk. It's a consistent, active relationship with Christ that reflects in our everyday living and acts as a magnet, drawing others to Jesus!

Under the leadership of Sherry Hicks and Carol Kelly, Miracle Temple Women's Ministry President and Vice President. Fashion coordinator, Jessika McPhatter, and help from several others; I can gladly say the mission was accomplished! Take a look at the video and read the statements from the ladies listed above to get a closer  look into the I am kingdom fashion Show!

Sherry Hicks

"The purpose of the "I am Kingdom " Fashion Show was to show others that the transformation that has taken place on the inside, now reflects on the outside. As a Kingdom citizen we should represent Him in everything. Therefore we were showcasing our royal status by making a fashion statement with different apparel.  John 8:36 states  "So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed" .  We are no longer bound by religion because we have relationship and our clothing is an expression of our freedom in Christ."

                            Carol Kelly

"The I am Kingdom Fashion Show was truly a showcase of beautiful people displaying upscale fashions that can be worn by everyone. The apparel chosen varied from modest Christian everyday wear, church wear to clothing that can be worn for occasions. There was so much unity and true fellowship among the models, directors, consultants as well as the moderator of the show. I will definitely be a part of the next one scheduled."

  Jessika McPhatter

"It was my joy to help during the fashion show. My job was to help put the right color, patterns, jewelry. ..etc together. But In my heart I was really there to help them see out the box and build confidence levels. I watched even after the fashion show and seen colors of clothes and lives brighten up.  That's when I knew my work was done!"

Psalm 145 3-13
