The Buddy System

Happy Monday loves, I trust everyone had a great weekend, mine was simply awesome! Over the weekend I had the chance to hang out with an amazing group of people; the singles! We went out for an early dinner followed by fun and laughter at a local bowling alley. The time spent with this group was encouraging and much needed. So what are the singles...? It's a ministry within my church that acts as a support system for those who are single.

The group consist of men and women who all have TOTALLY different stories. The stories of these individuals range from single by choice, newly single, and single with kids. Now I know at this point you may be thinking, "Tiffany, what does this have to do with anything?" As someone who is currently (I won't always be hopefully, lol) single with a kid I find that although happy, there are moments when I become discouraged and experience feelings of loneliness. A frequent thought is, "no one knows what I'm going through." This post is definitely not about the low times of a single person. It's to inspire those who are single or getting ready to be single to build a buddy system! Find and surround yourself with people who are like you and who can help keep you encouraged. Be sure that the person or group you surround yourself with is one that truly has your best interest at heart, they should be people who you can call on in the wee hours of the morning to say, "please pray with me!" (now don't do that every morning or they may block you, lol). My point is find a buddy or group that will help keep you encouraged when you are having those lonely tear drops!
